Follow our safety tips and you will find eBay shopping fun and rewarding!

Safety Tips:

Tip 1: Know your seller. Be sure to check the seller’s rating/feedback on eBay, check their member profile, and particularly their feedback ratings. Don't just check their feedback score or % of positive feedback - check the comments that other buyers have left. You can still buy from first time sellers with no history and feel safe.

Tip 2: Know your item. Make sure you read the item description fully before you place a bid or commit to a Buy It Now sale. The item description is the part of the page where sellers tell you about the characteristics, condition, etc., of the item they are selling. Also, study the photographs closely, and if you can't see the item properly, you could always ask the seller to upload more.

Tip 3: Use PayPal to complete and pay for the transaction. PayPal is safe and secure, the buyer does not need to give out any credit or bank card details and most sellers accept PayPal because it transfers funds immediately. For extra piece of mind check if the item is covered by PayPal Buyer Protection, you will find this to the right of the page on which the item is listed, under the Ask Seller a Question area.

Tip 4: Trust your instinct. If it looks too good to be true then it more than likely is! There is no replacement for good old common sense.

Happy shopping...........
